Weekends are for walking

After an energetic week I spent Sunday strolling around the village of McLeod stopping for chai at every corner.

The street was so busy so I decided to venture to the temple of the Dalai Lama..

What an amazing place it is- filled with amazing colors, scents, statutes and smiling faces.

It is a place that feels so welcoming and calm. I sat and just observed the rituals of many dedicated people and chatted with enthusiastic school children that skipped past.

After some well appreciated quite time I ventured back into the friendly chaos on the street and tried to resist buying the beautiful beads and trinkets for sale.

I did how ever buy a new book entitled “self Hindi teacher”, watch this space, my goal is to be fluent by the time I leave!

Today is the beginning of week 2 in the teacher training and it started off with a nice class focusing on foreword bending with some inversions  and finished off this evening with a class focusing on hip opening.

Now it’s time to prepare for tomorrow and wind down at the local cafe
